Buying and downloading
What do I receive after payment?
A download page link by email, and the same link on the confirmation page. The download is one ZIP with the kit's Word and Excel files, personalized with your order details.
How many times can I download?
Your link works 5 times over 30 days. Save the files on your computer or shared drive as soon as you download them.
Which software do I need?
Microsoft Word and Excel. The files also open in Google Docs, Google Sheets, LibreOffice and Apple Pages or Numbers, where some formatting, drop-downs or checkboxes may behave differently.
Who processes the payment?
Stripe. Purchases are sold through Link (Stripe), which acts as merchant of record and calculates any sales tax or VAT. Your receipt comes from Link and your statement shows LINK.COM followed by our name.
Can I get a refund?
Because the files are delivered immediately, you give up the right of withdrawal when you ask for immediate access at checkout. If a file is defective or you bought the same kit twice by mistake, write to us and we will fix it or refund you. See the Refund Policy.
Using the kits
Will a kit get us funded?
No template can guarantee funding. The kits help you prepare clear, consistent and well-sourced applications; each funder decides on its own priorities and budget.
Do the kits contain sample figures?
No. Every amount, rate, baseline and target is an input you fill from your own records, quotes and each funder's rules. Examples show the form of a good answer, never invented data.
Can we use a kit for several applications?
Yes. Your organization can use its kit for as many of its own applications as it wants.
Can I use the kits with AI tools?
Yes. Each full kit includes prompts that make any AI assistant work from your own files. Check each funder's rules on AI first, never paste personal data about the people you serve, and write the final text in your own words.
Are the kits affiliated with any funder?
No. The Funder File is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any funder or government agency named on this site.
Countries
Do the kits work outside the United States?
Yes. The UK and Canada kits are written for those countries, and the Essentials kits work anywhere: choose your currency code in the workbooks and rename the categories to match your funder.
Are prices in US dollars?
Yes. At checkout, Stripe can show and charge the equivalent in your local currency.
Consultants
I am a grant consultant. Can I use a kit for my clients?
The license covers one organization. Buy one kit for each client organization that will use it. You may not resell or share the files.
Do you charge a percentage of grants won?
Never. Our prices are flat. Professional fundraising codes, like those of the Grant Professionals Association and AFP Global, reject percentage-based pay.
